Grade 3

1. Summary of Questions by Strand, 2006 to 2011

  • Take notice of which strand and/or overall expectation is heavily assessed by EQAO. You might want to take these trends into consideration when planning (i.e., don't wait to teach measurement until June).

2. Summary of Questions by Strand and Cognitive Skill (2006 to 2011)
NEW:I've indicated which questions were assessed through the KU, PS, or the AP lens within each strand and overall expectation. EQAO started to provide this information on IIRs in 2009.

3. Consolidation of Questions by Strand (2006 to 2011)
Questions are organized by overall expectations within each booklet (strand).
NEW:I've indicated which questions were assessed through the KU, PS, or the AP lens within each booklet (strand).

Even though EQAO only assesses each question through one lens of the achievement chart, all questions can be assessed through multiple categories of the achievement chart (i.e., AP questions are not just AP questions, they may also be Knowledge & Understanding, Communication, and Thinking questions).
